How to write more in an Excel cell

Therefore, it seems if cells can only be used for a limited amount of characters, depending on the breadth of the cell, which can be enlarged to fit more characters. However, you can insert moreĀ lines in a cell by following these steps:

  • Press alt+Enter (Windows) or
  • Press Alt+Option+Enter (Mac).
  • This will automatically set Wrap Text ON for the cell where you want to add more lines of text.
